On the occasion of the annual World Cancer Day on February 4th, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Siegfried Knasmüller visits Univ.-Prof. Dr. Markus Hengstschläger in the Ö1 series "Radiodoktor - Medicine and Health" in the Funkhaus Wien.
In the western industrialized countries, nutritional factors are believed to be responsible for around 35 percent of all cancer deaths. However, it is not only the carcinogenic food components or pollutants, but above all lifestyle habits that are responsible for the development of malignant tumors in the body.
Prof. Knasmüller, as well as the guests who were connected by phone Jane Bergthaler and Univ.-Prof. Dr. Hermann Toplak discuss the role of our diet and lifestyle with regard to possible cancer.
