Teaching
Since 1993 the unit offers a 3 years postgraduate course in Toxicology/Science of Chemical Safety (Universitätslehrgang Toxikologie für Postgraduierte), the only academic education in toxicology in Austria. Certification as "Master of Science" (Toxicology). The course is given in English, faculty and attendance are international. Cooperation and exchange with other universities is agreed or in preparation ( Slovenija , Switzerland , Germany , EU-IMI program). ( Toxicology Course Vienna ) , Completion of the course is a prerequisite for professional recognition as Registered Toxicologist by EUROTOX ( http://www.eurotox.com/ ).
In addition, lectures on numerous topics related to toxicology and cancer are offered for students of Medicine (MCW) and Natural Sciences.
