Research Focus:

Colorectal cancer (CRC) develops from normal mucosa cells by the step-by-step accumulation of mutations and a progressive dys-regulation of growth. This affects several signalling pathways – including the epidermal growth factor receptor, the transforming growth factor receptor ß, insulin-like growth factors and fibroblast growth factors (FGFs) and their receptors (FGFRs). We have established in vitro models for colon adenomas and carcinomas which we use to analyse tumor specific signalling pathways and to investigate the efficacy of therapeutic compounds.
