Deductibility of donations

How can you deduct your donations from taxes?

Donations from private individuals

You would like to deduct your donation from your taxable income? Since January 2017, your donations are automatically taken into account in your (employee) tax assessment and are tax deductible if you provide us with your first and last name as well as your date of birth.

Donations from companies

Donations from companies can be listed as business expenses in the corporate income tax. Unfortunately, we are unable to report your donation, as it must be submitted by the respective company itself via their tax return. The amount of tax deductibility is calculated for donations in kind and money from companies with up to 10% of the profit of the respective year (before deduction of the donations and the profit allowance).

Where can I see if my donation has been submitted?

Donations made to us in the previous year will be visible in the Finanz-Online Portal as a special expense in your employee tax assessment as of March of the current year. For example, donations made to us in 2021 will appear as reported as of March 2022.
