Programm

About the speaker
Abdelghani Mazouzi obtained his PhD at CeMM in Vienna and subsequently joined the laboratory of Thijn Brummelkamp at the Netherlands Cancer Institute as an EMBO postdoctoral fellow. His research combines functional genomics, genome instability, and cancer biology to uncover novel biological mechanisms. His work has led to the discovery of multiple DNA repair pathways and therapeutic resistance mechanisms, with publications in leading journals including Science, Nature, Molecular Cell, PNAS, and Science Advances. More recently, he has developed innovative genome-wide approaches to identify novel regulators of cellular processes, including previously unknown pathways involved in iron metabolism.
