"Biomarkers, EVs, and Bugs: Unpacking the Complexities of Endometrial Cancer"
About the speaker:
Anastasiia Artuyants is a research fellow at the Auckland Cancer Society Research Centre, specializing in molecular biology, microbiology, and oncology. Her current research focuses on extracellular vesicles (EVs) and the uterine microbiome as potential biomarkers for endometrial cancer. With over nine years of experience, she has led several innovative projects, including the development of EV-based diagnostic tools and microfluidic platforms for cancer detection. She earned her PhD at the University of Auckland, where she investigated the role of microbial EVs in host-pathogen interactions. Anastasiia is actively involved in academic supervision and outreach, and is a member of numerous international and Australasian scientific societies.
