Prof. Dr. Isaac P. Witz receives adjunct professorship at the Center for Cancer Research
Prof. Dr. Isaac P. Witz is Professor Emeritus at Tel Aviv University and Head of the Tumor Microenvironment & Metastasis Laboratory at the Shmunis School of Biomedicine and Cancer Research, The George S. Wise Faculty of Life Sciences.
His impressive scientific career in Israel and the USA has contributed significantly to the study of the important functions of the cancer microenvironment in fundamental processes of cancer - such as growth and metastasis.
Prof. Witz was awarded the prestigious Szent-Györgyi Prize for advances in cancer research from the National Foundation for Cancer Research (NFCR) in 2023. He has been closely linked to the Center for Cancer Research at the Medical University of Vienna for decades on both a scientific and friendly basis.
